She likes turtles, but distinctly dislikes bats.

Relationships[]

Horace F. Andrews[]

Jessica has a strong relationship with her son, and greatly respects him for the person that he is and the person he will become. She enjoys parenting and finds great pleasure in watching Horace grow and learn. They play chess together every Friday night, and she almost always wins. She isn't ashamed to make jokes about Horace.

Matthew Andrews[]

Jessica seems to have a strong relationship with her husband. He gives her several gifts for Mother's Day, and later that afternoon they go to the lakeshore together.

History[]

After Horace returned from his first visit to the House of Answers, Jessica was the first to let him inside. That evening, she played chess with him; he mentioned that someone had called him a Tinker, awakening her suspicions.

For Mother's Day, Horace gave her a large leestone. She clearly was not expecting this, but nevertheless did not question him about it, or reveal her knowledge of Tanu. That afternoon, she went to the lakeshore with her husband.

Later that week, Jessica happened to ask if Horace was feeling lost, suspecting he was in the Find. In actuality, Horace had progressed quickly and no longer felt directionless. That night, she went to dinner and a movie with her family.

Several days later, she and Horace had a brief conversation about the philosophy of foresight.

One night, when Horace had just returned from a long night of following Chloe, Jessica entered his room and asked him a few questions about the box.

A week later, Chloe visited their house officially for the first time. Jessica gets along with her well and invites her to dinner.

Trivia[]

  • The name Jessica originated in Shakespeare's play The Merchant of Venice, the character in which seems to have no bearing on the personality of Jessica Andrews.
  • Jessica seems to enjoy Sherlock Holmes stories, as her husband bought her a large collection with her knowledge.
